The project is an extension of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) funded research entitled “Changing Imaginations of Istanbul from Oriental to the Cool City” undertaken at the Ludwig Maximilian University. The main objective of the exhibition is to combine the results of the research project with broader pop-historical, cultural and artistic perspectives on the concept of cool. The project presents the exhibition Free Market Road Show Istanbul and the publication “The Rebirth of the Turkish Delight: Cool Istanbul”.
