For over two decades, Bae Bien-U has been photographing Korea's pine groves. Beginning with a selection of images taken near Gyeongju's Silla Dynasty burial mounds, this monograph assembles images from Bae's entire pinewood series. They were captured exclusively in a natural misty light. The photographs, predominantly black and white, date from 1985 to 2008. All are C-prints mounted on Plexiglas in artist's frames.
