Steine im Fluss Sten i Floden / Ursula Reuter Christiansen; Organized by Kristina Ask; translated by Hans Christian Fink

General note: With Sten in the river , the Danish- German visual artist, Ursula Reuter Christiansen, gives a look back at almost 50 years of life in art. Based on the ideas from an exhibition of the same name from 2013, she presents 8 tableaux based on her long work. The childhood on the Moselle river, the apprenticeships in Düsseldorf with Joseph Beuys, the time as a red stocking activist, the professorship in Hamburg and later the appointment as the first female painting professor at the Art Academy in Copenhagen are intertwined with other important experiences using sketches, storyboards, poems by Novalis (and by the URC itself) and other obscure memory blocks. The publication is bilingual. All texts are reproduced in both German and Danish.
